So about 2 weeks ago the Fordpass App wanted me to try the new version. I said no. A few days later, it somehow installed anyway. Well I could not use LOCATION, it said I had to do something in the vehicle. But I was able to revert to the older version. All was good. Now they are trying to push this new version out via the App Store and I don't want it. Unless people can tell me they fixed this issue. Did anyone here have that problem? Do you have this new FordPass 5.0 and does your location work. I am SO SICK AND TIRED of companies constantly "upgrading" ****, just for the sake of doing an upgrade! If something works, leave it the **** alone!

 

HELP! So since lat May I have held onto the older version of Fordpass App and it has worked fine for me. But now, when I go into it, it won't let me do anything unless I upgrade. Has anyone had the problem I saw during the trial of the new version. Where it said I had to do something in/to the vehicle to get Location to work?

 

So the update was on my wife's phone. I had to login again. The location DOES work. So I went ahead and updated mine as well. But I DO NOT like a lot about the new look/layout. Why the ?*?* do these companies always make these kinds of changes to apps/programs? Before, when you tapped vehicle, so much info was all there, Fuel Status, Oil Life, Location. Now you have to go to different places in the app to get each piece of info. It is PATHETIC how these friggin companies let their programmers run amok!
