Default Foucs died

I have a 2003 Ford Focus 2.0l zetec. I was coming home from the store last week when I noticed my dash lights were started to dim I shut off the radio and heat and keep driving I made it 3-4 miles when the dash lights went out and all gages dropped and about 1/4 mille after that my car stated to sputter and misfire and I ended up pulling off the road. I had the car towed home because I thought the alternator went bad and I'd fix it my self. Belt looks good and so do the terminal's to the battery no corrosion.

I pulled out the battery today and hooked it up to my charger and to my surprise it said the battery is fully charged. I pulled out the volt meter and verified it was true.

I put the battery back in and tried to start it wouldn't even try to start. The headlights, dome light or radio will not work. Little red security light still blinks fan for heater comes on. If I turn the key to battery position the oil and air bag lights come on but are very dim and if I try to turn the head lights on the oil and air bag lights go off. Any one know what's going on?
