last week i bought a 2000 ford ranger with a 3.0 liter engine in it, and the gas gauge is nuts. i filled it for the first time and it is saying empty at 302 miles. i dont think that this is right. when i shut the truck off the gas gauge goes up much farther than when running. so if anyone can help me figure out what is wrong here let me know please
