My daughter's 97 sable horn goes off by itself about once a week. It sounds like the panic alarm was hit on the remote with pulsating beeps. I took the battery out of the main remote and switch to a back up remote without any success.

She leaves for college in a few days and would like to find a fix before she leaves.

By the way the horn shuts off when the panic button on the remote is pressed.

*Update* I think maybe the problem is in the RAP module (Remote Anti-theft Personality module). I found the following link that gives its location.

When the two cable harnesses are unplugged from the RAP the keyless remote no longer function. Has anyone had experience with this?

Well, sorry but i dont have any advice or help to offer. But since we're on the subject of horns, when i get my ranger i want to mount a train horn on the roof. $320.00 bucks from JC Whit. Just want to be heard.
