Warning: I am bad at wiring.

I've had these auxiliary lights for a while and I figured I'd put them on my roof basket because, well, why not. But the connectors don't make sense to me - obviously they're supposed to plug into something, but I know for a fact that this is all that came in the box.

​​Cut off the connector and just use the wires? If so, how would I do that? A positive and a negative to the battery... but then how is the on/off switch wired?

BTW, this is the kind of switch I had in mind, maybe put it in place of the lower cigarette lighter socket.
