So I changed this part, thinking I wired it correctly but the truck won’t start. What else could it be?

 

Even a crystal ball would have trouble with the info you provided, need more !

What was the original problem and I am trying to remember where the ign switch was located, at the lower left of the dash?
Has the vehicle been used some or just left setting around?
What checks have you done?
What engine, and what is in the distributor, contact points, dist module mounted on the sheet metal someplace , the more info you can provide the better the chances of being able to offer a/some hopefully useful suggestions to get it running.

Also do you have any carb/choke cleaner to shoot into the air intake , one two second shot, to possibly eliminate a fuel supply problem.
