incorrect outside temp

incorrect outside temp

The displayed outside temp on my 2010 Fusion SEL is off quite a bit. It displays -40 when it is plus 50 outside. Is there a way to fix this?

There is an ambient air temp sensor located behind the grill, which is no longer working correctly, replacement is not difficult and most auto supply stores carry them.
