Default Innova 3150 F. Scan tool for 01 and 02 fords

I want a mid priced scan tool for my 02 grand marquis and 01 ford f350 superduty. I ordered a innova 3150 F. Scan tool for about 200 dollars and wonder if anyone has experience with it. I borrowed my neighbors innova 3030 and it worked fine , but i want something that could handle antilock brakes and air bags.

Please let me know if you have experience with innova and if i made a good choice.

Thanks. Scott in wisconsin

02 mercury grand marquis
01 ford v10 5 speed superduty.

No experience with Inonova

Did you consider a FORScan free download, and a switchable ELM327 adapter? For about 35.00 or so for the adapter, a pretty nice diagnostic and programming platform...

I cancelled the innova. It has no new cars loaded since 2014... and not being upgraded.. too much money for outdated scan tool.

If you have a Windows based laptop it can utilize all of FORScans features, and is a free download. When selecting a ELM327 adapter make sure to get a switchable unit HS/MSCAN. They do have iphone etc platforms, but they don’t cover some of the available functions/features..
Ford coverages only though...

There are a lot of ELM327 adapters out there, most of the cheaper ones (5.00-15.00+) either aren’t ‘switched’ or are a early software version. If you go ELM make sure to get the latest version (most of them are 29.00-35.00+ range) in cabled, WiFi, and Bluetooth options. With switch capabilities you can access HS/MS both, increases most module data/communication and some programming etc.

Heres an image of a switched ELM327 (random brand)
