Default Keeping an electric window rolled in the UP position

So I have a 2008 Ford F150. The drivers side electric window stopped working about 6 months ago. In the weeks leading up to that, I would have to periodically 'jiggle' the rubber boot with the wires to the electric window switch in the armest and then the window would roll up or down. Then one day that stopped working too. Since then, I've been content to not even use the window and left it rolled up. One day a couple of weeks ago while I was driving, it started magically moving down a few inches at a time before it finally went full down. Rain was moving in so I temporarily taped a piece of foamboard over it. After that, I got a metal straight edge and put a long strip of really sticky duct tape on it, slipped it down the inside of the door, and pulled up and moved the glass just enough to where I could grab it and force it all the way back up. That worked for a day or so, then it started moving down a half inch or so at a time. So my question is, in lieu of paying for a repair to whatever is causing the electric window to not work, is there a way, if I take the door panel off, that I can put something somewhere inside to keep the window in the full up position temporarily until I can afford to get it fixed?

Thanks

If there is enough room, there are times when we install a piece of wood to hold the glass up while working on the rest of the assy.
Just to prevent further problems . if you decide to do that, make sure you disconnect the wiring to the motor so it doesn't keep attempting to come down, which could cause damage to other parts.
The window can also be held in the up position with tape , but that may not be possible long term.
