My daughter bought a 2018 fiesta zetec eco boost a few months ago, it keeps chiming very quickly low fuel, and message can say 200 miles (just having put petrol in it), tonight display said zero fuel but dial showed a quarter tank, any ideas to cause/fix would be appreciated

 

If the fuel gauge registers wrong too, then it is most likely a bad fuel sending unit in the tank.
