Default no start problem

Hi guys. I am new to the forum , and need help with a no start problem. Have a 2001 ford escort with dual cams. While driving the car just up and quit. Had it towed to shop, and they tell me it my" valve cam timing sensor" and that it will cost 831.00 to repair. Is there any such sensor on this year model? If so is the price reasonable? Need answer asap. thanks icantdr55.

Default RE: no start problem

Both the SPI and ZTEC 2.0 engines use a CMP..

But the SPI (single cam) requires that the fuel injection supply manifold be removed.. The ZETEC DOHC should just be a simple sensor replacement..
