Not sure where to post this
New to site. Forgive me. A couple weeks ago there was a garage fire which damaged my Ranger because of the heat. All is repairable, luckily as DIY. I do have a couple questions regarding the rear window. The heat from the fire had caused the seal around the window to draw in and shrink considerably. It has been rainy here over the weekend and I had removed the interior panels to monitor water leakage. Luckily, none has been observed. I am concerned with the winter coming up it may cause leaking. Therefore I am looking for assistance in removal of the rear glass through instructions. Both sides of the window seem to have a seal. The interior seal has also shrunk and is pulling at my headliner. It looks like a thick 1/2 inck gasket(?). I am not sure what this is called but am looking for where this part may be located besides an auto yard or Ford. The rear glass is a solid one-piece glass plate. If I chose to replace it with a sliding window, would there be any modifications necessary or would the new window fit without modification? I have noticed three nuts from bolts apparently from the outside perhaps under the outer seal. Also, what is the easiest method to remove damaged window tint? The glass has tint on it and it has shrunk as well as cracked from appaernt drying out I assume. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. Not sure if this helps...
