object in trans pan

Default object in trans pan

98 explorer tranny filter change inside of pan was a smallplastic cup on a stick with an oring attatched to the cup. What do i do with it

That's a dipstick tube plug installed during assembly.. Once the dipstick tube is installed its driven into the pan.. Its removed/tossed during service..

That little critter is how we used to tell if a tranny was serviced and had the filter replaced. This was before tranny flush machines came on the scene.
