Hi,
I have a 2014 Escape. About a week ago, the speakers made a terribly loud sound and since then, the radio, Sync and backup camera don't work. I can't get an appointment at the dealership until late August. Does anyone know what this could be? And, more importantly, is this a sign of more electrical-related issues to come?

 

I can't tell you what is up the road as far as electronic problems, but I can tell you, a lot of the electronics in vehicles today are , well,,,,,,,not top quality and most likely due to the cost factor.
It does sound like a voltage spike occurred and the electronics were affected.Sometimes protective "measures" are incorporated in the construction, but there is always the unexpected. AND,,,,,,,,,the more items installed , the greater the chance of , well just problems.

Does your vehicle have anything you use or have added on like remote start (add on) or charging port gizmos.
