hey, i know how to replace the fuel filter in my 90 ranger, but I'm confused with my 04 explorer please help

 

In front of the gas tank, behind the right front tire there's a plastic cover with 2 13mm bolts. Remove those bolts and you'll see the filter. They have different types of locking mechanisms now and it's kind of a bear to get your hands in there. You'll see the black fittings and a spot thats either blue, red or yellow(forgot which). Push in on the colored part and it should release the lock. Slide the fittings off the filter.

make sure on the clips it pops open then it pushes in dont pry hard or they will break
