I have a 2017 F150 2.7 Ecoboost. The secondary transmission pump is throwing an engine code. These pumps have been out of stock at Ford for at least a few months and the expectation is they will still be backordered for at least another 2 months.

My question: Is this secondary pump ONLY used for Stop Start? In other words, I am wondering if I turn of stop start will the engine code NEVER trip.

I have been running it for a couple months, turning off stop start, and the engine code has not tripped. I have talked to a few repair shops and they cannot confirm.
