What are my steps with this issue?

Is there an associated code, routine maintenance, or?

Never had one of these go on before. Seems to run about the same.

Wish I had an owner's manual but do not.

 

ummmm take it to autozone or advanced auto parts and have them plug your van into there computer and have them tell you what the code is that is making your check engine light come on. and they will also shut it of for you if you would like them too free of charge.

 

And then, do not buy parts yet. Get exact code numbers and post them here and we can guide you through the repair.

 

Hey Guys,
I did what you said and the checker at Auto Z. found that I had left the cap loose after last fillup. Kinda a good news ending for me.

That cap threw me off because I had to check it two or three times to verify that it wasn't tight.
