stalling after synchronizer replacement. pulled intake off
98 3.8 windstar. Cam sync went bad so i replaced the synchro and sensor. stabbed it per instructions.
Per 98 windstars, to pull the sync you must remove intake manifold plenum...so I did.
Now I start it up it revs a little and stalls. runs great if you keep your foot in the gas as soon as you let off it dies.
Timing issue?
intake leak issue?

If you unplug the IAC (the round thing on the top of the throttle body or slightly off to the side w/2 wires going to it), does it change anything? That's what controls the idle, and they can stick, but only after you recheck ALL the vacumm lines and hoses to and from the Intake. There are 2 connectors on the back rt. side of that intake that are really not fun to get to and can easily be forgotten to be reconectted. It sounds like either a stuck iac or huge vac. leak.
