Smile Torque Converter Shudder

Fellow First On Race Day advocates.
FYI regarding a good product I used.

I purchased a 2007 For Edge a year ago when my Navigator was smashed. It had a shudder at about 45 mph. I thought is was in the suspension. Turns out is was the Torque Converter.

I watched some videos and purchased a product call Instant Shudder Fix. 2 ounces of something they call a "Friction Modifier". While I know what those words mean individually, I have no clue what a Friction Modifier does inside the transmission.

Regardless, this stuff worked great. Just as the name implies, instantly, my transmission shudder was gone. it lasted for about a year, then required another tube. Best $12 I have spend in a long time.

Be well everyone,

Might try it.

My 18 Explorer XLT has a slightly rough transition between gears -- at least that what I think I'm observing.
It doesn't happen all the time, but it is there and I feel as if it is getting worse as time goes on.
Sometimes there is shudder (more noticeable) when coasting / slowing (let go accelerator but don't touch the brakes. Weird)

I've been thinking about doing a tranny flush, but this model has a sealed tranny (No Cap or Dip Stick kind)
Not a small project.
