Default Very Little Warm Air from Heater!!

I am freezing in the Mornings when I take the 92 F150 5.0L auto to work.. after sitting at idle warming up a t least 5 mins I get slightly warm air flow from Heater, and even while driving 50-65..I get same.....feels like it cools a bit even. The Flow is good and fans OK..I am thinking I will change T-Stat..any idea's to which will be best for my Location..----Fairly Cold winters...HOT Summers!!!!

The factory unit is a 195° T-Stat. I would use a 195° unit as Fords are designed to run hot. I would go no lower than a 180° T-Stat. Any lower and you'll be running on the rich side burning excess fuel, thus washing down the cylinder walls with the extra fuel and causing carbon build up in the cylinders, which in turn will affect your "SQUISH" area leading to excessive pinging.
