Default Which would you do?

Ok I have 2 trucks both need work but I'm torn which to get fixed up. I have an 86 f150 2wd with the 300i6 and 3 speed with overdrive the body and frame is solid but needs paint and doors but it misses really bad especially in od and while running at around 1500 rpm. I also don't like the tranny geared to high for my liking. Also blowing oil into the air cleaner housing. My other truck is a 2000 f150 xlt 4wd with 5.4 auto runs good but the bed, doors, rockers, cab corners, and the main support beam at the rear if the cab where the mounts are is all rotten but the frame and all the mechanics are good. My question is I need a truck but can't afford a new truck payment which would you fix up. I love the body style of the 86 and it was my first truck but I like the power and the fact that the 2000 is 4wd. Most of my hauling is highway so 2wd is fine but it does snow here in the winter. Just not sure if I should pay the money to fix the body on the 2000 or fix up the motor on the 86. Sorry for rambling a but.

the 86...check the pcv system for blockages or bad pcv valve. Oil will flow into the air cleaner is the pcv is blocked or if the engine has excessive blow by gases past the piston rings...the pcv system can't handle that much air flow. So if the pcv valve and hoses are ok...do a dry and wet compression test. if compression comes up for the wet test....the engine is tired.

the 2000....keep you eye out for a donor vehicle...pnp wrecking yards, you can find one cheap.
