1997 f250 7.3 4wd standard clutch
Ford Truck standard transmission owners -
I recently had my clutch replaced on my 1997 f250 7.3 4wd w/ a
solid flywheel. I experienced heavy "gear roll" noises ( I call it marbles
in a coffee can) and gear grinding was more pronounced due some worn syncros. I have switched back to the dual mass flywheel, have no more gear roll nosies and the gear grinding form 2nd to 3rd is minimal and only when I get on it pretty hard.
