Hi, new to the forum here, I have a 2004 FX4 5.4 with about 150,000 on it. We just bought a new camper last year & we have several trips planned this summer, mostly under 150 miles, but none the less we have quite a few planned. Went to local dealer to look at a 2015 XLT with the 5.0 but it had already sold, salesman had me check out a 2012 Platinum Ecoboost, similar miles & price to the 2015. Little fancy for my taste, but it was pretty damn comfortable & was one of the few super crews that I've seen that still has the 6.5 ft bed. What I'm looking for as advice is a second year Eco something a guy should stay away from even with only 44K miles? I hear some stories of issues with them the first 2-3 years, salesman tried saying it's only on the 11's but he's a salesman. I can't remember how many bad stories I heard about my 04 after I bought it but it's been a great truck to me. I got used to the cam phaser tick a long time ago! Any thoughts are appreciated. thanks
