2017 ford escape 1.5 ecoboost vibration
fwd suv with a turbo, replaced all tires and rims, new disk brakes and disks, new cv shaft both sides, new air filter new spark plugs, all mounts Inpected with no issues found. when driving, vibration will be in the seats, mostly the body of the car, not the steering wheel. also notice worst at low speed or climbing a hill or hauling my trailer, sometime it completely gone and other it more severe. also notice engine oil seeping from that boot between intercooler and intake pipe, some say it's normal. the engine sound like it starving but not really sure with the turbo if it's normal. in the process of changing the transmission oil. any other suggestions, do I need to start looking for a transmission? should I rebuild it instead of bying a used one?. thanks for all the help.
You might check, that the turbo drain is clear. Sometimes they will coke up from hot oil and produce a restriction that will cause oil to go out where it should not..
Regarding the vibration,, I would suspect something not right in the rear of the vehicle suspension .
When we look at a used trans, we don't know the history and it can be a gamble.
There is another option I would certainly look into and that is a remanufactured trans. They have all the latest modifications and come with a better warranty/.
Pulling a trailer far from home is not the time to look at cost alone..A reman trans cost more than any rebuild, but is worth the $$$ for the peace of mind..
