My crew was driving and pulled over to check on directions to the jobsite and she just died. 
Will crank and you know it wants to start but won’t actually turn all the way over. V8, 5L 302 with MSD
Definitely getting fuel to ignition. Figured I’d test and change spark plugs for starters. Any other ideas or thoughts?

Yes to MSD.
I am pretty positive there is fuel getting to ignition but can you tell me exactly how to check that? At this point, I’ve changed out 4 spark plugs on the drivers side and it wants to start even more than before. It almost started once. Gonna go ahead and change the other 4 while I’m here 🙄

We need to have spark available for the engine to run , If you take one of the plug wires off the plug in the engine and connect it to one of the plugs you removed and lay that plug on the engine where you can see if there is spark at the plug when cranking the engine over, that will tell you if there is spark available to the system or not.
If you see the spark , that at least tells you it is available, after which now we need to ask when you removed any of the old plugs were they wet or dry?
If wet, fuel is getting to them, if dry no fuel is getting to them.
When you first turn the key on ,do you hear the fuel pump in the tank run for the usual 2-3 seconds? Yes/No ?

OK , maybe the injectors are not working. Check the fuse that provides power to the injectors. You can also verify this by connecting a test lite clamp to ground , then with the key on you should have power to the red wire that goes to each injector..
I always ask because not everyone has carb and choke cleaner, if you have some available spray a shot or two into the air intake and see if the engine starts . If it starts then dies there is a fuel supply problem. If it does nothing different , let us know.
