Default Clutch pedal

Hey guys I have a 88 f150 straight 6 manual trans and I've noticed my clutch pedal is stuck about halfway down it won't come all the way back up unless I pull up on it but then the spring will fold over itself if you get what I mean the spring naturally hangs the pedal halfway down is that normal because when I pressed it down put it in gear I barely have to lift up not a half inch before the truck starts to move is that normal or is there a way I can fix it thanks

If it takes just half inch to shift into gear your pressure plate is going to have premature failure. Also kick the habit of stepping on the clutch while waiting at the traffic light. Shift into gear only when it's ready to go. If the spring loses tension just replace another return spring. Keep in mind the purpose of return spring is to help the return on a hydraulic system.

Here's the procedure. Also check the fluid levels last resort just bleed again if needed.
