Alright, so I just parted ways with a 2011 Fusion SE, this car was equipped with sync factory installed… long story short, I totaled it and just pulled a 2012 SE off the lot today…

oddly enough, this newer SE I just got, doesn’t seem to have any signs of sync :/ the steering wheel has slightly different button configuration, and doesn’t seem to have any SYNC options in the menu…

weird, as they’re both SE trim first gens, but for some reason, the newer car is lacking in the luxury dept lol

Side note: my 2011 also had a moonroof, my 2012 does not…

 

Yes it is an option, not all vehicles have sync.
If you don't have the steering wheel button or the phone button for the radio then you dont have sync.
