EcoBoost block heater
Hey everyone, I am new here. i have a 2014 Ford fx4 3.5 EcoBoost living in Canada temps being minus 30
after talking to a ford dealership they had told me that the EcoBoost trucks have the block heater in the thermostat where it only has about a 25% affectiveness when plugged in, also told it’s up to me to pay 300+ to have it placed where it actually belongs in the block rather then in a dry socket keeping none of the fluids warm. Doesn’t make sense to me for me to pay or why they did it that way to begin with.
Anyone shed some light for me? Cause my truck starts like hell everyday plugged in for 4 hours... my block heater does read 35.6 ohms
