DO NOT BUY THE FORD NAVIGATION PACKAGE!

Simply the map coverage is poor and not frequently updated. I have a Ford Fusion 2017 and find the many roads are missing, including large interstates like Houston’s TX-99 Grand Parkway that opened SIX month’s ago.

Not only do you have to buy map updates – BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO BUY!

I now have a GARMAN Nuvi 52 portable that I update regularly for free or use Google Maps.

Yes it integrates into the dashboard display, but if there is nothing to display then DO NOT waist your $700+.

 

It’s hard and long winded to put a postcode in ,
It also does not give you the time it takes to destination
complicated to work out too many things to push to activate your destination. No updating what is the way I have found to do it. To go home he continues on the last destination until you click the bottom left set new destination.
It does not take you straight to the door. They have been better off nuvi models in, As I still have to use mine and keep it in the glove department for back up as the Ford navigation system is just too much hassle and stress at times.

as for the voice control omg. So frustrating to try and get it to do what you want. Like a simple command, turn off satnav or turn off navigation. The damn thing just keeps repeating itself asking you just say something else. There should be a way to program it like Siri or Alexa to understand you
