Fuel Pump or Fuel Pressure Problem
1999 f350 V10 6.8, gas engine. 79000 miles.
My truck won't run. Turns over, won’t start. Spark plugs fire. When gas is added at the air intake engine runs for as long as fuel is added. I have checked all fuses, changed the fuel filter. Even bypassed the emergency fuel shut-off valve. I disconnected the 4-wire power plug at the tank and checked power to the pump and fuel gauge. Power to the tank appears to be fine. Checking resistance in the fuel pump and gauge, I found that resistance was consistent on all pairs of wires (NO short or open circuit was indicated).
Could this still be a fuel pump issue (needing replacement), or could it be a fuel pressure regulation issue? If it is the latter, how would I check and/or replace fuel regulator or sensor?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, SB

I’ve checked only the leads coming out of, right at, the tank. If I have to drop the tank to check a ground wire, I’m going to replace the pump, anyway. It looks like replacing the fuel pump would fix the problem. Thanks, Hanky
