I came here looking for some people with some experiance in working with some of the older trucks. I have a 1963 F-100. I purchased a 390 FE to put in it and I like the motor but it has been nothing but trouble getting it in. I also purchased a junked up 1973 F-250 with the same motor so that i would have an extra and a transmission. I was under the impression that it was a four speed manual but in looking for a new shifter i am finding nothing but three speed. does anybody know or was i given the wrong info in either the year or type of transmission?
