A lot of planning and consideration go into designing and production . Things you would never think are involved and you risk causing some unbelievable problems when you start re-engineering electrical systems.There are MANY modules that are incorporated into controlling electrical functions.
They are expensive to replace, costly to have diagnosed when alterations have been made and some require a capable scan tool to reprogram.
Thanks for letting me know I will not put them in my truck I'm not trying to deal with electrical issues
