Speaking from experience, when you start changing electrical things from original, you are asking for trouble.
A lot of planning and consideration go into designing and production . Things you would never think are involved and you risk causing some unbelievable problems when you start re-engineering electrical systems.There are MANY modules that are incorporated into controlling electrical functions.
They are expensive to replace, costly to have diagnosed when alterations have been made and some require a capable scan tool to reprogram.
