Default help

i have a 1990 full sized bronco i had a spark problem. so i changed the modular still no spark. then changed the coil. no spark. any help out there?

Well, I know it sounds stupid, but if the distributor is turning regularly (which means that it hasn't jumped time), then there are a few quick, simple checks that you can do. Of the 2 wires going into the coil, one sould have power anytime the key is on (according to a standard test light. Ususally, it's a red wire with some kind of tracer). If OK, then put the light in the other side and crank the engine. The test light should flash regularly. If it does, then there is something else going on. Try removing the SPOUT connector (used to set base timing), then check for spark. If you have spark, look to wiring to and from the PCM or the PCM itself is shorting out the spark. Also, the ignition control module should have another branch of that very same wire that brings B+ to the coil to the ICM. Check that. It should have the same readings as the coil supply.

ya this is the same problem i am to facing tried in several ways but of no use got fed up with this.
