I bleed blue
Hey y'all.
So I stumbled upon this forum looking for some upgrades for my car. I was happy to see such a large community. I'll start by saying that ever since I was born, my family had always owned a Ford of some form. With being born in my dads 78 Cougar, riding in the back seat of my moms 77 LTD, hearing stories of my dads 72 Gran Torino, my grandfathers 64 Galaxie and his 70 Montego wagon he custom ordered with a 429SCJ, to owning a fair amount of Fords myself. I started learning to drive on a 94 Taurus wagon, my first Ford was an 87 F150 with the old 351w HO, then a 97 Thunderbird, a 96 Explorer, learn to drive a stick on a 41 Ford firetruck with the original flathead v8 while I was a firefighter, and now I'm on number 5. I currently own a 2007 Crown Victoria P74, but I am in the slow, slow, SLOW process of making it a Roush Cobra clone. What I am looking for here is a calm community that enjoys the finer Ford classics that I have come to love and admire. And to find fellow Panther Platform enthusiasts who could give me tips and pointers to really make my Vic sing. I have a lot of ideas and plans for this old boat and have been tinkering with cars since I was 5. And if there are any Ford social meets near the San Antonio area of TX, I would like to take part in that.

There are a few others I didn't mention. My dads 87 Cougar XR7, his 84 Bronco, my grandfathers 54 Mercury that we had to sell after he died, my dad also had a Fairmont that was...well, that was a POS. He also had a Mustang II and he had nothing good to say about that. Grandmother had a 68 Maverick Grabber and grandfather also had an 84 LTD II. Gramps also talked about the Sunbeam Tiger he had when living in Key West. Not fully a Ford, but had a Shelby 289 in it so that counts at least. My dads Torino was actually the 4 door model with the 351c in baby crap green, but still a classic nonetheless. I got pictures of some of these cars, but not all of them.
