I'm in the market for an old full size van with a high top roof conversion. I hope to find a Ford as I respect that they didn't get involved in the auto bail out. I found a possible van with a 300 straight six and a 4 speed manual transmission. Unfortunately it's got the feedback/VV carb. Not sure how bad those are. At least I don't have to deal with smog checks since leaving Cali. I've never owned a domestic vehicle before. My cars have always been VWs and Hondas, with a 280z as my 1st sports car. I'm a self taught wrench turner. I don't like OBD and too much computer and emissions controls. I've liked the IH Diesels used in the Fords and would like to see how they do, especially with a Banks turbo.
