My girlfriend has a Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4L V8 and it needs a new intake manifold. The problem is all the ones that match her truck aren't the one I pulled out. It seems like I need to replace the throttle body as well if I do. I'm totally confused. Did the previous owner install one that wasn't supposed to fit her truck? Thus is the one I pulled out.


Any advice is appreciated

 

What you might consider,
If you provide the VIN to a dealership parts dept ,they should be able to provide the correct part # for the manifold which you might be able to compare against the one you have. If the part installed was incorrect it is difficult to tell unless you are very familiar with replacing them .
