Question New to Forum: I'm looking for information

Hi I'm a Ford technician and even with access to all Ford's information I can't find a list of the various engines, transmissions and combination per model. I was wondering if there is a list somewhere on the Forum. I know I could make my own list by going through each Year and Model, but I'm a little lazy and would like to know if there is one already made.
My reasoning is to make my job easier. I would like to be able to eventually set up common issues, parts lists and labor ops that I run into. I would use that info to help newer techs at my shop, not to bypass normal diagnostics, but to save time. If they can diagnose an issue, they'd be able print out the parts list with some base part numbers (at my shop the parts department needs their hand held to make sure they order the right parts and not forget any). I think my idea will work, but it seems like a large project to undertake. I am hoping someone has got a list together. Also I should note I'm not trying to get that info all the way back to the 70's just more modern ones that would come into a dealership, at least back to mid 2000's.
If a list is not already made I will just go ahead and make a spreadsheet on my own time. Thanks to anyone who reads and to any who leaves information.

I can agree with your intentions , but as you know the problem may be the same, but parts required could be different and having stepped in it many times before, sometimes better to make the list as necessary. . I guess if the customer pays no matter what, some extra not needed parts get covered anyway, ouch that hurts, lol.

Yea I see what you mean. For the parts list I was talking like gaskets or seals. For example doing VCT units on the 3.5L GTDI pretty common issue here. I like replacing water pump gasket and thermostat housing seals, as I've had issues with them leaking if they weren't replaced. Also there is a TSB for it that tells you what should be replaced.

I think what I would like to do is have a parts required list and a as needed list for seals that are good for multiple uses like the spark plug tube seals and VCT solenoid seals. As Ford recommends.
I did decide to shrink my range (Year and Model) as not all those vehicles come in anymore. I do not want to sell parts that aren't necessary, but I would like to get my parts dept to at least stock them just in case.

I'm mainly trying to make a list of these various engines and transmissions, because as you know the vehicle may have a 3.5L but from year to year or different models would take different parts. I made it sound as if I was making a definitive list, but I'm looking to make a General guideline for the New guys.

Glad to have an experienced tech aboard.
Unfortunately, most folks are just looking for answers and many times solutions are presented that are proven to work , however, most folks don't have the tools or equipment to apply them
We do have a really good moderator that keeps an eye on things and is on the ball

Oh yeah. I didn't think about who was posting here. I figured there might be either an old timer with a lot of info or maybe a newer guy like me also looking into it.
That's fine then, I'll just work on it on my own.

You seem to have a lot of info and are pretty regular here. Are you a Tech or advanced DIY?

You got a chuckle out of me, answer is both !

Again , glad to have some help.
Knowledge is great, but helps no one if kept locked in a jar.
Did work for a Ford Dealer at one time..
