new guy, just got my first Ford
Just wanted to say hey! New guy here!
I justed picked up my first Ford, it was my grandmothers car (she recently passed away). It's a meticously maintaned garage kept 88 Escort 68K miles w/4speed, the thing looks new. I couldn't see the car getting put up for sale, so I told my dad I would buy it. I know its nothing flashy, but it was a big step for me because i've only owned GM & Mopars to this point (roughly 35 different cars in the past 18 years). Some of my favorites have been the mopars (several darts, lil red express & 58 plymouth "Christine" clone). My current fleet consists of a 99 Wrangler Sahara, 05 Saturn Vue Redline, 1970 lime green Plymouth Road Runner and the new addition, a powder blueEscort. I'm planning on parking the Jeep and using the Escort as daily transportation. The jeep has low miles and is paid off, so I would like to keep it nice and use it as strictly recreational top down summer vehicle. The escort will get better mileage and if I continue to maintain it like my granmother did, it should last me awhile.

Welcome to the site Joker..
I inherited my grandfathers 61 Rambler Classic with less than 100K, that not too long ago removed the dealer installed clear plastic covers..Remember them And then my Mom's 72 Dodge Dart, both 'extremely' clean cars.. Don't drive'm much, but just couldn't see anyone else behind the wheel..
Still own the 69 T/A I used to drive to High School back in 73!! I've bought and traded more cars than I'd be able to remember (now and the only thing that kept me from holding on to them all was the lack of storage space.. Think it's a sickness!!
Again....Welcome

Welcome to the site. I had a 89 Ford Escort Pony. Had 2 doors white. It was a fun car to have. It had over 100,000 miles when I traded it in. Needed a truck for the job I had at the time. I just inhereted a 90 Ford Ranger in 05. Well sort of., My great uncle isn't doing well and can't drive anymore, and at teh time, my car was totalled, so they gave the truck to me.
