Hello, new member in upstate SC.

I decided to pick up a simple 2012 F150XL 5.0 long bed for work/personal driving. Since it was obviously one of the hundreds of UHAUL turn in's, I am naming it "Project UHAUL".

I've begun cleaning it and setting it up the way I want it by adding a cruise control steering wheel and cruise control ECM reflash, tinting the windows, and upgrading the AM/FM stereo. It's my second F150, and I know how great they are long term. I was wondering if there were any fellow UHAUL project truck owners here? For a $16,000 investment in a 2012 with 13,000 miles, it was a no-brainer. Looking forward to enjoying the forums and meeting folks in the F150 community.

Project U-Haul

 

Working on some LED DRL's to install inside of the factory housings. I need to disassemble the housing to see of it's thermo-welded. It will look cool with some yellow or white high intensity LED's inside the housing to burn with the factor DRL lamps! My last truck (Toyota Tundra) had housings that could be heated in an oven and separated to paint the non-reflector areas for an euro look.

Going to add a gray thin/think pinstripe to break up and define the side profile. That is a lot of white!

Building some PVC air horns this weekend for it. Love the new project opportunities!
