Default Ranger

I have a 1994 Ford Ranger with a 4.0. Not sure if the cam synchronizer is bad or not. I just bought the truck. The electrical cap on the synchronizer is broken and it has a two wire connection. I have only been able to find three wire connectors, even at all the junk yards. Supposedly Ford only made these for a half of year in 1994. The truck is extremely nice but I can't drive it the way it runs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It could be helpful if you were to provide a little more info.

Are you talking about an oil control solenoid ?
What kind of symptoms is the truck showing?
Do you have any maintenance records possibly from it's past history?

We already know the issue is with the camshaft synchronizer. The problem is the truck has a two wire connector and we can only find three and four wire connectors. If we change the whole harness from a 1995 which has a three wire connector would this work or would we have to change the computer also? Thanks

When you start changing the way the vehicle was built , you are opening a can of worms.
I somehow get the feeling you are in over your head with this problem and should consider having a good shop handle it.
