Default Rear suspension questions

I’m fairly new to this site, but not to working on my 1953 F-100 pickup. I had all the finish work done for me which left the front end only about 3 or at most 4 inches off the ground using a 1973 Monte Carlo front **** with disc brakes which looks good, but I can’t even get a low profile jack under. The rear end is the stock ford with an 8.8 rear end with the axle above the springs. Looks ok at it’s height but the shocks are short and completely down. I think I need longer shocks but don’t want to raise the rear end any more. Due to door problems I just put on the Altman’s Easy latches which were easy for even me to take care of with a little cutting. If your doors are hard to close or keep shut I would definitely suggest the door latches. Now back to my above suspension problems I could use your thought on correcting this problem. Thanks in advance for your responses! 12353
