I recently got a briefly appearing message on my 2017 f350, warning me to “service brake system soon”. It only appears at “cold” or initial start up, then went away. Some earlier posts mentioned that this might also be caused by having a “bad” battery. Well, turns out- that was the case, as my truck was dead to the button two weeks later. A battery test on 3 year old Interstate batteries- found that I had 1 at only 234 cca, and 1 at 534 cca’s. 2 new batteries and $320 later- I’m good to go, and no more message about “service brake system”. And each battery is 865 cca’s!
