Teach me how to time expedition 2006
My buddy has a ford expedition 2006 5.4l. Well couple spark broke into the cylinder, he tried using ford special tool and end up braking the chaser into the spark plug.
So my only choice is to remove the head (both). There is a notch on the crankshaft pulley, there is an arrow on the side panel. So i matched both of them and removed pulley and panel. before removing the chains i turn the cam ( there are little arrow on the cam) so I match the arrow on the 90 degree angle i also mark the chains with a marker where the arrow were on both chains.
I install everything together as i took it out, lined up my marking. As everything was installed, we started the car and it run with no problem, no noise. we test drove the car and it ran fine. The problem is now that the check engine came on saying cam sensor are bad or timing is off. If the timing was off wouldn't you know at the moment i started the car that it was off?
so the timing is off can someone help me re-time pictures would be helpfull thanks.
