Angry Water in gas

2000 Ford f150 4x4--Every couple of weeks I have to take the in-line fuel filter off and drain the water out. This is driveng me nuts(no pun intended)
I have multable cars & trucks and this is the only one I have trouble with. Any ideas? Thank you Meking

Well, some water can't be helped; you might start by taking the tank down, and cleaning it very throughly, then drying it more throughly (leave it out somewhere dry for a day or two). Use a pressure washer; it works the best, and remove any dirt/whatever in the bottom. I believe this is a plastic tank. And when the tank and fuel get hot/cold in a normal drive cycle, some (little) bit of water will form from the condensation of humidity in the air. You didn't say where you live, but this is a major pain in the sunny south, the land of constant humidity. If you're sure no one is not 'adding' anything to the tank, try some fuel drier products meant to remove water.
