I have an issue with the weatherstrip around my driver door. I decided to replace it on both doors since it's an 02. The place I ordered from sent 2 different pieces. One is 12 ft and more flat shaped and one is 18 ft and more oblong. I carefully measured the strip that is on the truck and it is 16 ft. My question is would they send 2 extra feet and I just cut off the excess or is it likely they sent 2 parts that are wrong. I really don't want to pull the current strip out to compare cross sections unless you all think it's likely they sent an extra 2 feet. I don't really trust them to give me a good answer since they sent 2 different pieces. They both have the same part number and description, which isn't much. The website doesn't show an actual picture of the product, just the drawing of where it belongs on the vehicle. Any help is appreciated, as I have no idea about how it works. I just want the correct part when I have my friend do the job. ( I'm very clumsy and inept at using tools and such ). Thanks to anyone who can help.
