Default New to thread and Ford, but with order frustrations!!

Greetings-

I am new to this thread and new to Ford.

Back in May, I ordered a 2016 F350 DRW 6.7 diesel. I received my VIN in early June. BUT, I have been stuck in Ford's black hole ever since! Nobody can give me an update with a build/delivery date other than the order is processing.

Processing for over a month????????

I MUST have this truck by early September and am wondering if I should fight with the dealer for my deposit back ($1000) and buy different manufacturers vehicle. I would love to buy an already built truck, but the options I need are hard to find (Lariat Ultimate, DRW, 5th wheel hitch with 40/20/40 bench seats in front).

Has anybody else experienced Ford's abyss of a black hole with ordering vehicles before????

Thanks, Joe

Welcome to the site Joe..

Had my truck built and was as scheduled as far as delivery.

You should be able to print the window sticker from the VIN you received. VIN can take a month to receive so good there. On the top of the window sticker is the date code for when the truck is scheduled to be built. Checking the window sticker is a good practice to make sure all the equipment is as you ordered from the dealer, and nothing was dropped out/off.

You/dealer may need to call the Ford Fleet Information Center to check on the status and shipping date if they haven't already

I have a 1997 Ford Thunderbird, limited edition. The "check engine" light will not go off and to get inspected in California, it has to be off. Midas did the code check on it and said it could be a variety of problems. How can I find out the exact problem without spending an arm and a leg??

Welcome to the site..

Did Midas supply you with the code? Without it/them, hard to help in a direction to help or go. A lot of possibilities..
