I have had Ford E-150 Vans for the past 30 years and they have been the work-horses of our fleet. A 1989 E-150 (6 cylinder ) was somewhat under-powered. Our 1998 Ford E-150 ran really well until it died after 12 years and 134,000 miles. Now have a 2000 Ford E-150 High Top van that I bought "used" in 2011 with 73,000 miles on it and have doubled that mileage to 146,000 miles. It has been a Great Van, hauling things from home to our Farm and back for the past 4 years plus taking us on many camping trips.
This year, we added a 2004 Gulfstream B+ Touring Cruiser RV (2003 Ford E-350 SuperDuty) to our Fleet. Bought it last November and have had it to the Outer Banks of NC, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and our West to National Parks in AZ and UT this past month. What a great way to see the USA! Although, it does ride more like a Truck and less like a car than my 2000 Ford High Top!

A lot of posts/threads are created or generated at or into the more specific vehicle areas. A good portion of members come for help or tech advise repairs etc. This site has current requests and visits every day. May just depend on what threads you look in to.
Put up a few images of your vans when you get a chance, sounds like they've served you well...

I'm Steve in Tennessee. I have a 2013 E-250 Econoline van which has a 4.6L engine. I bought it before we decided on picking up a travel trailer and have found that that small engine has a time pulling the weight/drag at speeds above 50 mph.
The engine can handle large loads and gets 17 - 18 mph with regular gas in a mix of city and highway driving but gets stressed with a trailer. I'm wondering if there are any other 4.6L owners who have suggestions about boosting power or getting the Econoline trimmed up for pulling trailers?
This is our second E-250. We had a 1993 with a 5.8L and owned it for 21 years, passing it onto our daughter after we rebuilt the front end and most other parts. It ran great but it was time for something newer. Also have a 2005 Ford 500 with AWD and the CVT. 203000 miles and still running great. Love the car for road travel but the truck carries more and is newer so it is getting a needed rest.
Like to hear from other Econoline owners about their experiences. Steve
