I my name is Herb. Live in the NorthEast. I have a 1960 Ford Tbird that just started overheating. Ordered a new coolant expansion tank, the old one is leaking. I going to change the thermostat at the same time I change the expansion tank. Any other possible things that can make her overheat, besides a blown head gasket. Thanks

Default newby here

Hello to all: I have been around since the late 50's, I eat breath and sleep cars, I am pretty motor savy at least with the older stuff. I have a 1953 Mercury Monterey HT running a 86 Lincoln 302 that pushes it down the road pretty good.
I am presently building an old school chopped & channeled 1926 T coupe with a 1939 Merc drive train and have a 27 T truck & 32 sedan waiting to be reserected at some time in the future. I hope to learn more about the newer drive trains from this forum.

Hi Thriftmaster, welcome to the site.
I gotta ask ya a question or two.
Did any of the drive train differentials of the vehicles you have or have seen have the split differential housings where both sides of the axle housings bolted to the center piece? We used to take those two halves and make horses (jack stands) out of them.
Boy, does that go back some !!

Default Hello back at you guys

Thank you for the welcome and yes my 26 T and the 32 both have banjo rear ends in them. And yes the outer housings split away from the centre section. As for pictures as soon as I can figure out how to up load them I will post a couple for you guys.
