You might want to look at the lower part of the steering column near the brake pedal.

Was trying to figure out to hot wire it somehow. I tried to put ignition cylinder back in and pulled the ignition switch to try to start it from there but it didn’t work (saw a video of some one doing it) but before ignition cylinder died the dash lights and stuff turned on and when I tried to start it it make a click then died and the gauges slowly started to fall and then it got stuck in the lock position and when I got it out it just went really loose and didn’t stay in the acc position and doesn’t feel like anything is happing. Do I just need a new ignition cylinder or is something else wrong sorry for long paragraph just trying to see if I need a new cylinder or something else broke

The lock cyl when set to accy position is supposed to index with a gear that moves a rack that moves the ign sw assy..
Sounds like the gear dropped out of mesh with the rack..

Most shops don't usually get involved with this type problem and will just get another strg column from a salvage yard. It is not a job for a novice, but if careful and have the patience, you might be able to reinstall that gear IN THE PROPER POSITION. Does require some watchmaker ability. See if a local locksmith would want to look at it for you.

A second opinion might also be a good idea.

Also tried to start like this and nothing happened that’s why I think it’s the ignition cylinder

Don't understand what's quoted above, and actually the whole paragraph.
He said he can't start and later he said it started with the ignition cylinder.
Does that mean the steering wheel doesn't lock anymore?

You said you need hot wire, you still haven't told us why. Is it because a no crank no start, or issue with your ignition lock cylinder or what.

Ignition lock cylinder is no magic, you can simulate most of the actions by your fingers. Simply separate the ignition lock cylinder away from the ignition switch, then manually move the **** on the ignition switch to STA position, and release your finger the spring return will return the **** back to RUN position. Your concern is starting, can you start it this way? If not, can you start it directly from the starter solenoid?

Ignition lock cylinder not engaging correctly with ignition switch, that's a next topic.

That broke off section is to engage with the **** on the ignition switch. Simply remove the bolts of your ignition switch, you don't need to remove the entire electrical connector of it. You might need a helper to use a flat head and push from the ignition switch side, you get the broken chunk out using needle nose pliers from the ignition lock cylinder side. You might need to wiggle to get it out, that's why you remove the ignition switch and disengage them first.
