Where are the ignition wires?
Sorry for the confusion but I will try to re phrase when I tried to start it make a click noise then every thing stopped working then I tried again and the lights came on and when I tried to start it a second time nothing happened and the gas gauge fell really slow then it got stuck in the lock position like twisted fully toward the driver, u usually gotta hit the tab in front of the lock to get it there and I didn’t and when I got it to twist over again it felt like nothing was happing but as I was just looking for a new ignition cylinder they a tail on the back to go into the gear and mine didn’t have that so I looked in the ignition and I think it snapped off in there and that’s why nothing is happing now hope that helps ya under stand a bit better
So you have ignition key hard to turn issue and you didn't address the issue correctly and the chunk broke off from your ignition lock cylinder and it's stuck. Ever since you experienced the ignition key hard to turn issue you weren't able to start the truck.
Is that the case?
In your earlier post you only mentioned you need to hot wire and start it. If you need to start it can you turn the **** on the ignition switch by hand?
Yes, you will need to buy AT LEAST a new ignition lock cylinder, plus shift column bushings (maybe 2 required). The root cause for ignition key to be hard to turn or got stuck hard to remove usually mean a bad shift column bushings, and/or misaligned steering column, need lubrication.
Test the ignition switch (not a bench test, so the electrical connector doesn't need to be removed), turn the **** by hand to the STA position, it's tight (because of spring load) so you might need to use 2 fingers. Reply back can you start it this way or not.
Also tell us briefly how you got the ignition lock cylinder out.
